“Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.” –William Burroughs

Here in this post I have provided some proven and effective techniques of relaxation that will prove to be valuable for anyone who wants to win in life by strengthening their mind.

1. Meditation

Meditation is one of the best proven ways to relax. Meditation is the journey of discovering how the mind works and using it to conquer that which you find challenging. Meditation can be used to minimise daily stress and also to observe a mindful way of looking at life. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.

2. DEEP BREATHING

Taking in deep breaths can instantaneously dissolve your worries and fear. Breathe in deeply and exhale at least 10 times. Even if you are not in physical danger, the body reacts in the same way. Deep breathing techniques bust stress by counteracting this response. It summons your parasympathetic nervous system, also known as your rest-and-digest system, and helps stimulate relaxation to return everything to equilibrium.

3. The power of positivity

Even when faced with a challenge that seems impossible to accomplish, be positive and be so positive that it seems as though your levels of stress have decreased. In order to be positive, you will need to start believing in yourself. Visualisation and the power of positivity have been shown to work hand in hand in helping people with stress disorders to overcome stress and get back to their normal selves. If you think that you can, you can. Also fill your mind with positive thoughts and practice gratitude. For example, you can start journaling the three things that you are grateful for every single day.

4. Engage in a hobby

Engage in a hobby that you love and something that can help you relax and at the same time aid in finding happiness. Sitting around and overthinking about stress can only make it worse. So move on and indulge in an hobby that you love. Take part in an activity such as reading or even brisk walking. If you feel stressed get out of your house and be in nature where you can indulge your senses and also experience inner joy.

5. PRACTICE SELF-care

Take time to care about your own self. Be the person who loves yourself more than anyone else would love you. Do something that brings you happiness. These tips should help you to eliminate the presence of negative stress in your life. Although stress is a common occurrence in most of our lives especially when we are all so busy, it does not have to decrease your quality of life.
